2nd Lieutenant (2LT) Andres Peltier-Salazar serves as Executive Officer of the United States Army Europe and Africa Band and Chorus. A conductor and pianist from Los Angeles, California, he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Performance from the California Institute of the Arts and a Master of Music in Choral and Orchestral Conducting from Bard College Conservatory of Music.
He joined the United States Army in 2024 and commissioned through Federal Officer Candidate School in February 2025. In addition to his role as Executive Officer, he is the Officer in Charge of the Soldiers’ Chorus—a popular music show choir composed of talented Soldiers from outside the Army Music career field.
Prior to his military service, Lieutenant Salazar taught piano professionally, conducted community orchestras, and competed internationally as a conductor. His two brothers are Cadets at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and with the support of his wife and family, he takes pride in serving his country through both music and military service.
